About Yuja

Located at 396 Harrison St, San Francisco, CA 94105, Yuja operates as a pan-asian restaurant serving San Francisco in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Francisco, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–8 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is yujakitchen.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 146 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pan-asian restaurants in San Francisco.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet - this is my favorite casual food in the city. People are super nice! We first came and tried this place thinking it’d be nice to support a local business and ended up loving it and became regulars. Everything is so fresh and healthy, so glad to have some good affordable Asian flavored foods in the neighborhood. My usual order is Yuja teriyaki chicken and shaking beef. The yogurt is also the best!

Really stunning froyo. Very light and not too sweet. Only regret was sharing it. Getting my own next time!

Saw this place in Instagram and stopped in for some frozen yogurt! Highly recommend the lemon blueberry flavor. I didn’t get a full meal, but it smelled so good and I will be back!

Easily one of the best teriyaki chicken around. The chicken is tender and marinated to perfection, plus the seasoned rice and the fresh salad, excellent combination. Super friendly staff and great service. Highly recommended

I've been a fan of Jackie's recipes on Instagram for a while, so was happy to finally have the chance to check out her restaurant. I went on a Thursday afternoon for a late lunch and it was more crowded than expected! Most of the tables were taken, though there was still plenty of room on the counters. A good number of to-go orders too. I decided to go for the Shaking Beef, which was ready pretty quickly. They prepare it right at the counter (similar to Sweetgreen or Mixt). I loved all the flavors and appreciated how fresh the ingredients were. One minor critique is that the beef was cubed and pretty well done when I went β€” not sliced / medium well, which is how it was shown in some of the images. It still tasted good, though not exactly what I expected. Overall, I'd recommend this place for a nice casual lunch/dinner if you're in the mood for Asian-inspired sweetgreen but better πŸ˜† will check it out again the next time I'm in town!
